The ASGSA is comprised of a general membership body consisting of all interested Cornell Animal Science graduate students and those students working on a graduate degree under a faculty member with an appointment in the Field of Animal Science. The objectives of the ASGSA are to support and enrich the experience and education of Animal Science graduate students through professional, service and social activities.
This association sponsors seminars, symposia, parties, and other activities of interest to the students in the Field of Animal Science. This association also provides the graduate students with an organized forum for discussion of issues that affect them. Graduate students participate on some departmental committees, such as the Safety Committee and the committee that makes graduate student teaching assignments.
