Students in lab coats examining reports

Cornell Animal Science students and alumni consistently list internships, shadowing experiences, and job opportunities as the top ways to explore career options. Students come away from these experiences learning more about the career path they think (or thought!) they want to follow, as well as themselves! It is never too early or too late to begin exploring these options:

The CALS Career Development office provides a list of internships and summer jobs for students with interests across all disciplines of CALS, many of which may be of interest to students in Animal Science. allows you to search resources world-wide for available jobs and training. Some of these connections could help you learn more about internships or short-term employment opportunities, as well as full-time positions. Look for internships under the "Find A Job" menu tab at top, then Internships.
